Our common point ESD bench mat ground cord features a heavy duty 3/8" (10 mm) female mat snap with dual METAL female banana jack inputs to plug in wrist straps. This is one of two ways that are COMPLIANT when using a wrist strap in combination with an ESD mat. Note: Never use an alligator clip to terminate your wrist strap to just the mat! Always use a common point on the mat or use an ESD ground block that is attached to the same ground lug as the mat. We provide a generous 10 foot heavy duty ground cable that is terminated with an RoHS compliant #10 ring terminal for the subsequent easy attachment to an electrical ground point. Each cable comes complete. Simply snap the assembly on to any male 3/8" stud and attach the opposite end to a suitable ground point. Common Point Bench Mat Ground Cord: PN 113-AS Bench Mat Standard Ground Cable
Our standard ESD bench mat ground cords are economical, efficient and grasp the fastener securely for long term performance and reliability. They are easy to use and fully compliant to latest ANSI ESD and MIL standards. UltraStrong Standard ESD Bench Mat Ground Cords snap on a any standard 3/8" (or 10 mm) mat ground stud. MEET the Latest Standards! These ground cords are typically used where wrist straps are not required (or where straps will be grounded to a ground block as is shown at the bottom of this page). Each cable comes complete with the industry recommended 1 meg ohm safety resistor. Simply snap the assembly on to any male 3/8" stud. Attach the opposite end of the cable (the ring terminal) to a suitable ground point. Test the assembly and Get to Work!
Standard Bench Mat Ground Cord: PN 114-AS Beveled Hooded ESD Ground Cord for ESD Floor Mats
In order to operate effectively all anti static floor mats must be attached to a reliable earth ground connection. Why? During the walking cycle, user induced static charges simply sit on the mats surface. Depending on the conductivity of the matting these charges can be substantial (often in the 1,500 to 3,500 volt range). 115-AS Floor Mat Ground Cords are Fully Compliant to the Latest Standards! This voltage is low enough that a Technician will not feel the charge but high enough to compromise unprotected static sensitive items. Items that are in a protected status, (e.g. in the final enclosure or in a static control bag) are not as sensitive to voltages in this range but why take chances with voltage suppression? UltraStrong floor mat ground cords are an integral component of your ESD floor mat - allowing easy placement (anywhere on the mat). The 115-AS comes complete with the easy to install male 3/8 snap for the subsequent attachment of the ground cord to the ESD control floor mat. Note: Attach the #10 ring terminal to a reliable common point ground in your building. Each mat requires an attachment to electrical ground. Mats should never be daisy chained.
Beveled Hooded Ground Cord: PN 115-AS Bench Mount Common Point Ground Block and Cable
UltraStrong premium bench mount ground blocks feature inputs for 2 wrist straps (terminated with the standard male wrist strap banana jacks). These ground blocks provide a convenient location to ground your wrist straps thus keeping the cords from stretching across the table top. Simply bolt block the ground block to the bench and ground the #10 ring terminal to the same location as your bench mat or to a location defined by your ESD coordinator. Many clients ground these block as well as their mats to the center screw of a tested AC outlet. Plug your wrist strap banana jack into the block and you're good to go! Premium Under Bench Ground Block: PN 117-AS ESD Ground Cord with NO Resistor
This ground cord is for use by trained personnel only and is designed for specialty applications such as grounding test equipment. Unlike our other ESD ground cords, this unit does not contain a 1 megohm safety resistor. The GCNR-104MB consist of a 4 mm female socket securely attached to a 10' (fully extended) insulated curly cord that is terminated with a standard banana plug (that may be used with the included alligator clip) for subsequent attachment to ground. Each cord is individually packaged for secure deployment and is clearly marked with a warning stating the assembly does NOT contain a safety resistor. Like all ground cords provided by United SCP this unit is RoHS 3 Compliant. This common point style S6.1 compliant ESD ground cord features a heavy duty 3/8" (10 mm) female mat snap with dual female banana jack inputs to plug in wrist straps or other accessories. This ground cord is compliant to both Product Qualification and Compliance Verification. Compliant to ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021, page 8, table 3. EPA ESD Control Items. Product Qualification: Personnel Ground Wrist Strap Connection (non monitored). Point to Ground <2ohms. Compliance Verification: Test Method; ESD TR53 Grounding/Equipotential Bonding System Section with a required limit of <2 ohms. Compliant to ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021, page 5, table 1.
